My background in this sport |
I got involved in bareback riding in high school through my Dad and Uncle. I started out riding calves, steers and miniature bulls at 4-H, NDRA and RoughRider rodeos, but always knew bareback riding was what I wanted to do. The first time I competed in bareback riding was in 2006 at a high school rodeo. |
Highlights |
Amateurely, I was a North Dakota high school bareback champion in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and took second at the national level in 2008. I was NDRA champion in 2009. In 2010 I claimed the college national title while competing for CWC, as well as Rookie of the Year in the PRCA. In 2013 I qualified for my first Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. |
Goals for the next year |
My goals for 2015 include getting healthy after sustaining an injury to my back and wrist at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, staying healthy throughout the remainder of the year, and of course, making it to the National Finals Rodeo in Vegas. |
