My background in this sport

Since climbing aboard my first steer when I was 9 years old, rodeo and bull riding is all I have known. Growing up through the 4-H, junior, high school, amateur and collegiate rodeo ranks, I honed my skills for the professional level. Bull riding paid my way through college at Western Texas College, Snyder, TX., and Texas A&M University, College Station, TX. A national collegiate rodeo title my freshman year helped get my foot in the door and rolling in the PRCA. Tough years of juggling classwork and a rodeo career left me finishing 2005 & 2006 in 18th and 16th place, just short of an NFR berth. Coming up short in 2008, only riding half the season and still finishing in the top 25 fueled my fire even more and brought me to qualify for my first NFR in 2009. Since then two more qualifications in 3 years, despite a year of injuries, has me on top of my game loving this awesome sport of rodeo.
